January has gone by fast, feels like New Year’s Eve was just yesterday. I’m writing this to catch up with all of you and to officially say welcome 2018!
Some highlights for me this year has been to increase the number of certifications I hold the most noteworthy being:
MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure — Certified 2018
MCSE: Productivity — Certified 2018
MCSE: Mobility — Certified 2018
MCSA: Windows Server 2016 – Certified 2018
MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure — Certified 2017
Certified Ethical Hacker
I’ve travelled extensively! going to Seoul in Korea and later to VMworld Barcelona in Spain as well as the World Blockchain Forum in London and to Singapore during Christmas, for vacation and meet-ups.
All in all networking and meeting up with many of you and gotten to see some amazing speakers throughout 2017, thank you!
So what new will 2018 bring?
I will continue to travel! And network, I plan to attend more conferences. I am going to do a deeper-dive into blockchain technology primarily development, fundamental understanding of solidity and the core principles within PoS, PoW, sharding and so-on. I feel that the most important part of any technology is having a thorough and fundamental understanding of the basic principles and then building on to that.
I love to read, and still an avid reader, never travel without my Kindle. This year I plan to increase the number of books I will read and raise the threshold for what books I do commit to reading. If you have any good suggestions do let me know in the comments, or tweet me @UlvBjornsson
Other than reading I wish to share what I’ve learnt, or ways I’ve solved problems or solution designs I feel are more effective so that what I learn will benefit others and help this space that intersects technology, the blockchain, cloud to mature: faster.
Whether by influencing others to read good books or by articles I write, an ambitious goal but I truly believe that by sharing our knowledge we will accelerate the way we move forward.
Let’s make 2018 the best year to date!
Feel free to reach out on here, Twitter, via my mail if you have it or anywhere!
All the best,
